Daisy
1993 - 2008
Daisy's whole life revolved around her owner Mellie. Being with her gave Daisy her greatest joy. Often the little dog could be seen at the nursing home where Mellie worked. The aging residents looked forward to visiting with Daisy. Once Mellie let Daisy accompany a co-worker to the other building of the nursing home, but Daisy would have none of it. She escaped and was seen trotting back to Mellie's office as fast as her little legs could carry her. A Sheltie-Papillon mix, she was physically small, but her spirit was that of a St. Bernard. She was not going anywhere without Mellie! Daisy had a most amazing gaze. She would look intently at you as if trying to read your thoughts. Daisy had a previous owner who suffered a stroke. Brave Daisy pushed out the screen window and scratched on the neighbor's door for help. Daisy was, and still is, an amazing spirit. Mellie misses you, Daisy, and will carry you in her heart forever. Blessings on you, wee little one, wherever you roam.
